Chapter 9

My women and I sprawled across the bed even if it was only early afternoon. Today would be a lazy day lounging in front of the TV and ordering a lot of snacks and junk food.

“Away?” Sid asked and seemed intrigued. “Away where?”

“Upstate New York,” I answered with a growing grin. “We could go for a couple of days. We deserve to relax after everything that’s happened in the past few months.”

“Ohhhh.” Amber sat up, and I could see she suddenly had a lot more energy than two minutes ago. “You mean spend your money to treat us to a spa?”

“I mean, I hadn’t thought about that, but why not,” I chuckled and grabbed the redhead’s waist to bring her back down on the bed. “Aron and Honey would be up for that, so we could do a big weekend all together. What do you all say?”

“I say this is fantastic!” Amber grinned before she sprung up and waltzed toward the closet to have a look at her clothes. “I need to think about what I want to wear.”

“What about you three?” I turned to my three other beautiful women who were laying down next to me.

“This is a big gesture,” Amethyst said, but she was smiling. “You’re too kind, James.”

“I’ll take that as a yes.” I winked at her.

“As long as I’m with you, master, I don’t mind where I am,” Lapis said in a soft voice. “But a spa weekend sounds nice.”

The blonde giggled, and I shook my head fondly at her and Amber. The two of them, and probably Sid and Amy as well, had spent too much time on their phones if they knew what spa meant.

“I’d love to go away for the weekend,” Sid said, and even though she stayed put, her eyes started shining with excitement.

“Awesome.” My grin grew even more. “We can rent a cabin, and hopefully it’ll continue to snow, so it’ll look absolutely amazing. We’ll have to rent a place with a Jacuzzi. You girls will love that.”

“Jacuzzi?” Amy repeated with a frown. “That sounds… almost scandalous.”

“No, no,” I chuckled and shook my head. “It’s like a bathtub, but bigger, and the water is really hot and has massaging jets. It helps you relax, and you can even have some aromatherapy and bubble options with some of them.”

“That sounds like heaven,” Amber said from her spot in front of the closet.

She’d now put her head inside and was rummaging through the mountain of clothes they all shared. The dorm closet was becoming way too small for the five of us, so I’d have to look into buying another one, especially once we rescued the remaining woman. I wished the loft had come with a walk-in closet, but since it was a converted living space, there were a few quirks here and there that we had to live with.

“It is,” I confirmed. “You’ll love it, all of you.”

“Oh, I’m so excited about the trip, master,” Lapis sighed happily as she shifted on the bed to look at the ceiling.
